Here’s a special treat in lieu of this auspicious time…

it’s a NEW YEAR!

I’ve been waiting patiently (and screaming inside) to share this interview with Darya Rose.

Darya and Lana

Here’s the scoop:

Change is the only thing that’s constant in life, and if you’re in the flow, congratulations to you.  I love evolving and changing. Stepping up my skills and learning new things.  Food and relationships are so exciting because there is so much to learn. There are many elements to improve and shift-tweaks to be made, to unfold everything amazing that is yet to come.  If you’re reading this, I’ll take a shot in the dark and guess that you’ve read some of my suggestions from 2014 and tried them out? …

3 simple recipes to get your lover in the kitchen

…blindfold them, rip all of their clothes off, lead them into the kitchen and make passionate love to them on the floor.  The END.   Just kidding.

This is actually a true story of two good friends of mine. A few nights ago, my husband Joe and I went out for an impromptu double date with our good friends.  They’re an amazing couple that I am totally inspired by.  I really appreciate the dynamic of their relationship.  However, I was caught a bit off guard when Sara (names changed for privacy) mentioned that she really does not like to cook.  Her husband Tom followed this by saying something like, I’ve found that if I do all of the cooking, she and I are both happier.…

How snacks can save your marriage

…or maybe just your day.

Mexico was blissful.  I’m sad it’s over, and yet so grateful for the time we spent in tropical paradise.

A few days before we departed, our photo shoot on the beach was the perfect opportunity to capture the essence of the trip.  We woke up before sunrise; around 5 am and stepped onto the sand just as the breathtaking colors flooded the sky.

Everything was magical.  It was quiet, peaceful, and the colors were stunning that morning.  There was only one issue.  As we rushed out, we discovered that our hosts were fresh out of bottled water, and it was too early for us to buy water anywhere.  Sweating buckets in Mexico without water to drink isn’t the most pleasant experience, but we figured we’d survive, and departed without H2O.…

3 tips to keep a romantic getaway truly romantic

I’ve just returned home from two weeks in Bali and a quick stop in Tokyo!

Both Destinations were absolutely wonderful and oh so delicious.  My husband Joe and I LOVE to travel to exotic destinations and enjoy all of the local food.  Needless to say, one thing we did a lot of during this romantic getaway was eat.  This is one piece of travel that could certainly send things south (ironically, growing up in Wisconsin has always made me want to head south).  The best way to feel good and enjoy every moment fully is to pay attention to what goes in your mouth.

Asian food is my favorite…

without a shadow of a doubt.  More specifically, Japanese.  Balinese is a close runner-up.…

“Sex and Poop”: a Valentine’s libido class

FREAKING elated.  Yup. That’s what I was during a class I attended at Rainbow Grocery Cooperative in San Francisco.  This class drew me in with the saucy subject; Libido and Sexual Health.  “Poop,” as you may have noticed in the title of this post, is a bold way of referring to digestion.  I will expound more on this topic in following posts!  The main topics of the class were as follows:

  • Which foods boost and which foods squash your sex drive
  • The connection between your mind, heart and libido
  • Understanding the role of hormones
  • The role of stress and mood on your sex life
  • Herbs that support libido and sexual well being

The three presenters, Sara Reed, Marisol Kim, and Sara Jane Gorman delivered such intriguing and useful information that I was literally on the edge of my seat, while attempting to take notes at lightning speed.…

Let’s explore seduction as a spiritual practice!

I’m excited! I’ve got something delicious for you.  It’s a treat for the ears this time ; )

This word, “sensuality,” that I use over and over certainly can be interpreted in a million different ways, as we all have our own unique way of understanding words and concepts.  Every word has a very specific feel and imagery that we connect with it.  Words like “sensuality” or “seduction” are most commonly linked to the word “sex.” Would you agree?  What is the first thought that comes when you read: sensuality?  Seduction?

“Seduction is an art form that is massively misunderstood. Seduction is not just a game to be played between lovers. It is a force, not a formula. When seduction is taken out of the context of the bedroom and brought into the playground of everyday life, everything changes.…
