Let’s explore seduction as a spiritual practice!

I’m excited! I’ve got something delicious for you.  It’s a treat for the ears this time ; )

This word, “sensuality,” that I use over and over certainly can be interpreted in a million different ways, as we all have our own unique way of understanding words and concepts.  Every word has a very specific feel and imagery that we connect with it.  Words like “sensuality” or “seduction” are most commonly linked to the word “sex.” Would you agree?  What is the first thought that comes when you read: sensuality?  Seduction?

“Seduction is an art form that is massively misunderstood. Seduction is not just a game to be played between lovers. It is a force, not a formula. When seduction is taken out of the context of the bedroom and brought into the playground of everyday life, everything changes.…

Can ditching sugar can sweeten your relationship?

Delicious, sweet, moist, rich piece of yummy chocolate cake!  How do these words make you feel?  I love chocolate.  I love chocolate cake.  I love desserts.  All of the time? Probably not.  Most of the time? Yes.

I believe it was the day after my 11th birthday.  It was either a blistering cold “snow day” in the Midwest, and I didn’t have school.  I woke up and turned on the history channel-wait, I’m making things up now.  I turned on MTV and went in the kitchen to find breakfast.  Somehow, no one was awake but me.  My favorite mornings as a child were the ones where the house was mine!  I grabbed the few left over pieces of the chocolate cake out of the refrigerator from my birthday party two nights prior. …

A romantic, sensual date at…The Farmer’s Market!

On Sundays I feel passionate romance in a very bright, public setting.  Fresh aroma of sweet fruits and organic, local fare, smiling faces and sun shining.  Mmmm how I love the FARMER’S MARKET!  My husband and I love going to the Sunday Farmer’s Market!  Don’t worry…If you’re living somewhere with snowy winters, you can always re-create the vibe in the produce section!  As we walk-feeling the warm embrace of the sun, we slowly scan the offerings and let the vibrant colors draw us in closer.  Joe will pick up a tomato, and make eye contact with me before he gives the delicate plump fruit a smooch!  He loves to kiss his food-have I mentioned this before?!  We walk hand in hand, in gratitude that these incredible people are sharing such gifts!…

Sensual Recipe for enjoying every bite of your mushroom soup!

Spoon to lips.  Incoming!  Textures and flavors ignite the senses.  Deep, slow inhale with closed eyes and we’re in orgasmic food bliss.

I love this concept of “orgasmic food!” It really caught my attention when my friend, the beautiful Miss Jaiya-an internationally recognized sexologist-used these words to describe the way we eat.

Yesterday, my husband and I had dinner at this adorable quaint little place near our home; that prides themselves on using organic, local, sustainable fare (orgasmic food).  The food is delicious and the quality is unmistakable.  It was so incredibly tasty that after I took a moment in gratitude, and blessed my meal-as I do each time-we literally dove in.  It only took a few bites for me to realize I wasn’t really enjoying the food. …

Speaking the same food language…and makin’ love in the kitchen

Jenny L.: “Great Blog! I’m married to a chef and would love to see you write about getting your partner on board with revamping the kitchen.”

Lana: “Love it! Totally part of the plan…stay tuned! I’ll certainly zero in on this!”

Jenny L.: “Cool.  Because I’m gluten and dairy free and more…he can eat what he wants and thinks organic “isn’t worth it””

This is the good stuff.  This is where food gets fun. When we can make LOVE in the kitchen.

What better way to dive in, then sharing my own journey?  My own story of how love began in the kitchen. There’s a whole wild ride that took me to South Jersey and to the doorstep of a man’s home who is now my husband. …

How surviving the holidays can be done with celery!

This just in:  Mysterious plates of unclaimed cookies strategically placed in a large number of American homes on December 24th!

Did your mother, or father leave a special treat near the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve?  I’m not sure who told them what to leave for him but in my home it was always cookies or something classified as “dessert.”  Surprisingly enough, my health conscious mother decided we should leave a few carrot sticks along with the chocolate chip cookies and rice milk.  If you’re going to eat something sugary, then you must have even more of the healthy stuff.  I think that’s about how it went in my home, growing up.

Cookies for Santa

Santa Claus isn’t in great shape. Let’s face it. …

What does Madonna’s butt have to do with your breakfast?

After an unsuspectingly profound FLASH MOB meditation this morning, I went to a restaurant in downtown Palo Alto with a few of the meditators (the organizers appropriately switched the word “mob” for satsang: “flash satsang meditation”).   As we sat down, and food arrived, my friend asked if I’d like to share as her plate had arrived too full for her appetite.  I politely declined as she extended the offer to the rest of the table.  It was clear that I’d passed on the food, and my friend went on to share, “She’s so healthy! She had broccoli for breakfast!”  In fact, I did have broccoli with hemp oil drizzled on top with a few pumpkin seeds-for some fun crunch 🙂 for breakfast.…
