Tis’ time! 4pm on Wednesday the 18th

3 ways

This isn’t a usual post. No rants about food, no juicy relationship practices. This is simply a

reminder!

AND a very important one at that. Wednesday, March 18th is upon us. What does this mean? Irresistible Sensuality is what it means! The lovely Bethanne Wanamaker, (AKA the Edible Goddess) is going to enlighten us with her incredible knowledge of living life to the fullest. Read the following announcement she made on facebook, just today:

“Friends! I’m being interviewed tomorrow on a webinar by my dear friend Lana Baumgartner (aka Sensual Foodist) called “3 Ways to Unleash Your Irresistible Sensuality” ~ Ooooh la la!

I’ll share my wisdom on optimal living at its finest, my perspective on “having it all” + unleashing your wild beautiful natural side.

Meeting the Food Babe

Have you ever seen an invention, and said to yourself, “Hey! I thought of that years ago! Why didn’t I act on it?!” I feel like this is so common in our world today, and this same scenario goes for business as well.  When my husband Joe discovered the Food Babe, I totally had this feeling.  Why wasn’t I courageous enough to start speaking about the food industry publicly?  What was I waiting for? How could I withhold this information for years?! This feeling only lasting a brief moment, because I instantly fell in love with Vani Hari, the Food Babe and decided that the only and best option was to join the food babe army.  I was so excited about what she is doing, that I felt compelled to stand on my desk and clap as I read through her blog articles, and watched her videos exposing the food industry.…

Do you feel amazing today?

There’s a first time for everything, right? This will be the first time I share feedback in this way. I could simply just add it to a scrolling list of positive testimonials on the sidebar of LanaShay.com, but this was near and dear to my heart, so I’m sharing it with you here. Do I have your permission? If so, please read on 😉

When I posted The Hurb, one response came in via email:

“Good morning Lana!

This is incredible!!!
I just emailed Kelsea via the “contact” link on their site. I’d love to help get The Hurb [vending] machines into Madison. Thanks for sharing! Our office building alone has the nastiest vending machine, that no one touches because the options are horrible!

Old Skool Sensual

Let’s go back to a time, not too long ago, when we first moved to California.  I don’t do this too often, just once in a blue moon, or maybe just a new moon (did you know it’s less than a week away)?  I used to write poetry, and I think that creative spark just tried to poke it’s head out. ha!

When Joey, Joe and I first moved to California, I fell madly in love with food.  Can you believe it? I was honestly a sensual foodist before arriving to the West Coast, however, my love has grown deeper and yet more simple.  At one point, I tried on extreme veganism, then moved more toward vegetarian, and now I’m feeling the need to live without label that everyone has seemed to have tried on themselves once upon a time.…

Interview with Darya Rose, Ph.D

Here’s a special treat in lieu of this auspicious time…

it’s a NEW YEAR!

I’ve been waiting patiently (and screaming inside) to share this interview with Darya Rose.

Darya and Lana

Here’s the scoop:

Change is the only thing that’s constant in life, and if you’re in the flow, congratulations to you.  I love evolving and changing. Stepping up my skills and learning new things.  Food and relationships are so exciting because there is so much to learn. There are many elements to improve and shift-tweaks to be made, to unfold everything amazing that is yet to come.  If you’re reading this, I’ll take a shot in the dark and guess that you’ve read some of my suggestions from 2014 and tried them out? …

Santa likes it sensual

Nothing naughty, really.

There’s no doubt that Santa likes it sensual.

SENSUAL FOOD that is!

Because it’s a holiday, and I want to make sure Santa stays jolly, I am posting this article a day early.  He’ll appreciate it, and I’m sure you will too.  Read on for a quick story.  Merry Christmas!

I have a little story I’d like to share from just this past weekend.  My husband Joe and I were filming a tantric kissing video for a good friend of ours.  We demo the many tantric kisses, and just have a fun day being silly and sensual.  One of the kisses is done with a piece of gorgeous fruit. We get close and “sensitize” the lips with the fruit, by lightly pressing and tracing both top and bottom lips.  …

Eating well on $100 a month budget

How much do you spend per month on groceries?
My family certainly spends more than $100 each month.
Earlier this week, I spoke with a gentleman who has a $100 budget
organic 4for food every month.  During our strategy session, I gave him many suggestions for improving his health, and unfortunately, many products that I suggested would take him out of his budget.

organic3Another friend of mine mentioned that during the holidays, her food budget decreases, because she’s spending a lot of her income on gifts.  Yet another friend mentioned that eating well is too expensive, and requires too much time.

I had to get creative.

Organic really is more expensive.  If you go to your local grocery store and compare conventional produce to organic, you’ll see the difference, if you haven’t already noticed.  …

3 Foods to balance your hormones

Yesterday, I went to the Chiropractor.  Actually, she was a holistic chiropractor that practices CranioSacral Therapy, acupressure and chinese medicine.  I’m quite sure the list is even longer, but needless to say, she knows her stuff.  I visited her because I took a little fall during aerial a few weeks ago. I’m still a little crooked, but I’m certain that this amazing woman straightened me out today.

The first test she did led her to question the functioning of my pituitary gland.  The conclusion that we came to, was that my body was still adjusting to the major shift that occurred after I did the Ibogaine.  If you check out the link-no big news there, I did not do the treatment for addiction.  …

Probiotic-rich Cheese recipe for your belly

julyThanksgiving is over, but the Holidays have just begun! We’re in full swing now and it’s a great time to consider what’s going on in our guts.  Yep. Totally serious. I want to talk about your gut.  It’s a very important subject.  The happy little guys (called flora) that helps us digest and assimilate our food can be damaged during holiday drinking and overeating.  If you’re not doing either of these activities, bravo!  If so, let’s get some probiotics in do some work!

This article from the lovely July includes a great recipe to use for the holidays.  I don’t advocate using much dairy (because I’m all about high quality or none at all), but read on for a few tips if you’re open to going that route.

Thanksgiving: Are you eating poison or fuel?

In lieu of the upcoming holiday, I’m publishing early this week! I want you to receive this special message before Thanksgiving, so that you have the opportunity to bring this knowledge with you wherever you go, to gather with loved ones this week.

Less than a week ago, my husband Joe and I sat down to watch Origins: Our roots. Our planet. Our future.

I’m not big on pushing my belief system on anyone.  It’s always an invitation.  I invite you to eat food that will make you feel amazing. I invite you to get in the kitchen with your lover and family.  I invite you to vote with your dollars, and buy what makes you feel great-and supports the people who want you to feel great.…
