Were you with Rachel Rose and I?

Did you join the live event yesterday? If not, I’m sharing the video, here!

The webinar was just a short, 30 minutes, yet was so full of simple, enlightening information. I have a hunch that it will require only minimal effort to use this knowledge in your life immediately. The effects may just be profound.

There’s just no question, we could all use a little bit more love in our lives. Right? I know I could. Feeling love, and of course…making love allows us to feel pleasure. My mission in life is to feel good. If there’s something I can eat that leads to more good feelings-I’m all in. Rachel gives us a good dose of what’s inducing the love in her kitchen.…

Come Grocery Shopping with me!

I have a LOT of girlfriends who love to go shopping together; shopping for clothing. I can’t stand shopping for clothing! I’d much rather shop for FOOD! I’m fortunate to have a LOT of girlfriends who also love food, and they love going on culinary adventures. Farmer’s markets are some of the most exciting places in the world, if you use all of your senses to engage in the experience. I created a three minute video of one particular adventure because it was a whole morning of sensory pleasure with three women from completely different parts of the world.

Mercedes, is from Buenos Aires, Argentina;  Yuliya, is from Osipovichi, Belarus; and Emilia is from Gdansk, Poland.  We have so much fun eating and shopping (for food) together-and I enjoy it because of each girl’s unique approach.…

Did you eat chocolate on Valentine’s Day?

I sure did! It was a nice heaping scoop of “sensual fudge-y love sauce.” But, I know what you’re thinking. This article is late.  Valentine’s Day is old news! Although I do have a question for you, specifically about this holiday.

What comes to mind when you think of V-day?  Roses? Kisses? Chocolate?!

This food from the Gods is not something to be taken lightly. When I eat chocolate, it has to be the kind that uplifts my soul and pleases my body in every way (especially if I’m having it on an occasion that is deemed the day for lovers).  You didn’t think chocolate had these abilities, did you? Furthermore-here is a Sensual Foodist fact: Everyday is a good day for chocolate.…

3 tips for a NEW, “New Year’s Resolution”

How many years in a row have you made the same new year’s resolution? If you’re making the same resolution because you haven’t gotten what you were shooting for, I have a challenge for you.  It can’t hurt to have an additional new year’s intention.

Do you and your lover speak the same food language?  Can you whip up a delicious meal in the kitchen together?  Do you generally choose the same item on a menu at a restaurant?  Do you come home from the grocery store with all of the divine, colorful produce that your lover wanted (without them even having to ask for it)?  Speaking the same food language means that you can choose and chew together harmoniously.…

Eating well on $100 a month budget

How much do you spend per month on groceries?
My family certainly spends more than $100 each month.
Earlier this week, I spoke with a gentleman who has a $100 budget
organic 4for food every month.  During our strategy session, I gave him many suggestions for improving his health, and unfortunately, many products that I suggested would take him out of his budget.

organic3Another friend of mine mentioned that during the holidays, her food budget decreases, because she’s spending a lot of her income on gifts.  Yet another friend mentioned that eating well is too expensive, and requires too much time.

I had to get creative.

Organic really is more expensive.  If you go to your local grocery store and compare conventional produce to organic, you’ll see the difference, if you haven’t already noticed.  …

3 Foods to balance your hormones

Yesterday, I went to the Chiropractor.  Actually, she was a holistic chiropractor that practices CranioSacral Therapy, acupressure and chinese medicine.  I’m quite sure the list is even longer, but needless to say, she knows her stuff.  I visited her because I took a little fall during aerial a few weeks ago. I’m still a little crooked, but I’m certain that this amazing woman straightened me out today.

The first test she did led her to question the functioning of my pituitary gland.  The conclusion that we came to, was that my body was still adjusting to the major shift that occurred after I did the Ibogaine.  If you check out the link-no big news there, I did not do the treatment for addiction.  …

Halloween loving and pumpkin carving!

Did you carve a pumpkin this year?! If you did, congrats on being fun and playful. If not, don’t tell me you’re too old. We’re never too old to carve pumpkins!

There’s still time to get your pumpkin carving on!

Even if you’re a grinch of Halloween (I’ll admit that I’ve been know to get a little grinchy during the Christmas holiday) pumpkin carving is always a great idea.

Why am I all about this pumpkin carving business?!  Two main reasons that I’ll elaborate on: inner and outer nourishment.

For my husband Joe and I, opportunities to get messy, silly, and playful together are rarely passed up.  Diving into a big, sticky, squishy pumpkin is full of messy surprises.  Get creative!  …

Halloween without the horror

…of a sugar crash!  We all love to eat sweets during this holiday, but why not eat sweets and stay sweet too?

No really, a sugar crash just isn’t pretty.  Skip the sugar, but keep the cookies!

As we’ve discussed, there are many alternatives to the white, refined sweet stuff.  Knowing the effects of sugar consumption-both long and short term, is in your best interest.  Research suggests that erratic fluctuations in blood sugar levels are the leading cause of mood swings.  Mood swings are no fun.  Halloween and holidays in general are a time when our relationship with our partner, and with ourselves, can really benefit from maintaining a calm balance.  Choose wisely what you put past your lips and set yourself up for success.…
